Why do Rovner mouthpieces play so well?
All our mouthpieces are machine faced and then hand finished. The Rovner mouthpiece is unmatched in tonal richness. Professionals and students alike experience excellent control and ease of playing in all registers. Coupled with the EVO-5 ligature, the Rovner mouthpiece actually assists the player in finding and maintaining a truer sense of pitch.
How are Rovner mouthpieces designed?
Our "Deep-V" model mouthpieces features a full window length. This full table facing assists the performer in achieving a bigger, more cohesive sound.
In addition to the full window length, the "Eagle" and "Wilkerson" models are designed with a dual chamber. Representing true advancement in mouthpiece technology, the dual chamber offers impeccable intonation with a more intensely rich sound. The "Deep-V" and the "Eagle" are machined from solid brass and are gold plated.
What is "Hard Rubber Type"?
The "Wilkerson" model mouthpieces are constructed from a patented material called Micro-Porous Rubber/Polymer Alloy. This material is better than hard rubber in that it is warp and impact resistant. That is our Rovner guarantee.
Coupled with Wave-Front Stabilization (patented process), Sil-B Temper and Frequency Selective Polymer Impregnation, our hard-rubber type mouthpieces enhance tonal clarity, focus and response. The hard-rubber type is designed for the player who enjoys the feel of a hard-rubber mouthpiece.
How does the “G” Series relate to professional mouthpieces currently on the market? What makes it a good alternative for students?
Designed for the classical and jazz musician, the "G" Series is a traditional clarinet and saxophone mouthpiece.
The mouthpiece enhances tonal clarity, focus, and response. Additionally, this mouthpiece actually assists the performer in developing more accurate intonation. These features are helpful for the student at any age or any stage of performance.
